Tell us about yourself & the shoes that you customized:
Hello! My name is Eliza Sidney and I am an Illustrator and Designer based in Long Beach, Ca. I love to incorporate my artwork into fashion. My favorite canvases to work on are vintage leather handbags and jackets. I chose the Viva Creeper style because its a classic! These have been a staple style in my closet since high school. I adorned this pair with all of my classic illustrations that represent my style.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is undoubtedly my mom. She's an accomplished Artist who continues to create and be incredible. She instilled in me at a young age a deep appreciation for creativity, and has also been a constant source of encouragement and inspiration.
How does fashion & art help you express yourself?
It gives me the power to be uniquely me. I can't live a day without either!
How would you describe your art style?
I'd probably say my art style is mostly focused on heavy line work and bold shapes. It incorporates well into more of a darker style.
What piece of yours is an all-time favorite and why?
My painted Spider Leather Jacket! I love the flow of the spiders and how they lay on the whole piece. Looking at it and wearing it makes me feel so happy. And the wear of the leather paint shows that it has lived a good life
