Our Tattoo Creeper project is a way to collaborate with talented artists to add their spin on our creepers. We love working with creatives in any capacity & we want to see the world from their lens. To check out more of Billy's work head to her Instagram

What was your inspiration when designing the shoe?

At first I was thinking of my personal Color palette. I only ever really wear black/white and splashes of red. So going off of that I thought okay… I love rock n’ roll but that felt too obvious. I finally decided to go in the film direction and One of my all time favorite movies is Lost Boys! Who doesn’t love an 80s vampire moment.

How would you describe your personal style?

I’ve actually been really struggling with personal style lately. I feel like I’m going through a lot of changes within the band/our music and personally and am somewhat unsure how to represent that visually. So really just experimenting but always something alternative!

How’d you get started in music?

I grew up with parents who really enjoy music culture and made sure I was educated in all the greats for sure. Then my brother Caelan (the drummer in our band) started playing drums when I was really young and I thought he was the coolest person ever. I knew I always wanted to do something to try and be that cool but it manifested as musical theater up until covid then I really just fell into the rock lifestyle. I finally just said fuck it I want to be a rockstar. Full send. Been learning and figuring it all out since then.

Are there any bands or artists that have been influential to your music/life?

There are SOOO many. I couldn’t possibly give them all credit where it’s due but to name some big ones- in the start of the band it was definitely The Runaways, Motley Crue, Nirvana, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, etc. In recent times I’ve been really in love and majorly inspired by people like Yungblud, Royal and the Serpent, Jutes, and honestly my friends in the industry have been some of the biggest inspirations.

What currently fuels your creativity?

To be completely honest, aside from my artist friends as I mentioned previously, getting my feelings hurt has been huge in writing. Just going through it and using writing/music as a way to process.

What’s next for Billy and the Kidz?

We’re actually about to all move to L.A. in just a couple months! We got management down there and I know that’s gonna turn everything upside down in the best way for us. Until then we’re spending the rest of our time in Portland writing as much music as possible. So much new music soon!
